Seeking info on ancestry of my great grandfather Edson McClure BLAKESLEY (1845-1931), who was born at Republic in Seneca County, OH, but grew up in Sandusky, Erie County. His parents were John BLAKESLEY and Isabel MCCLURE, who are listed in Erie in 1850 and 1860 censuses. Edson served in the 145th Ohio during the Civil War, and later worked for the railroad. He lived in various towns after the war, including: Aroma, IL; Ft. Wayne, IN; Kansas City, MO; Olathe, KS; and St. Petersburg, FL. He retired in Orlando, FL in the 1920's and is buried here.
