He was a carpenter by trade. In 1844 he was married to Regina EMMELE and to them were given eleven children. Then years later the family moved to Sheboygan, Wisconsin. "Wilhelm REINHEIMER, his brother, was born on December 3, 1822, and in 1845 made Sandusky his permanent home. He was married to Eva Catharina BENZ in 1847 and from this marriage nine children were born all of whom except one are living. "Jacob REINHEIMER, born October 1, 1820, was the last of the family to leave the old paternal home with his aged parents. REINHEIMER, d. 16 OCT 1854, was married in 1847 to Peter REISS, b. 15 AUG 1823, in Rhenish Bravaria. He was married 2nd to Martha Elisab. BRAZEL on 7 DEC 1854.
