Hi All- I found out some exciting news and I thought I would share. For sometime now I have been at a brick wall on my Addison KINNEY. Unable to go any further on his line not knowing his father's name, the county he was born or when he died. Recently, I wrote to the "Ohio Historical Society" (1982 Velma Ave. Columbus Ohio 43211-2497) and for $5.00 they did a 20min. search on one name - Addison KINNEY. They came up with information from a book "History of Erie County Ohio - with illustrations and biographical sketches of some of its prominent men and pioneers." It states that my Addison KINNEY in 1866 conducted the printing office for the "Sandusky Journal". Which was nice to learn about...but the best information was that John C. Kinney -"his brother" worked there in August 1866!!! It also notes the date that John C. Kinney died (Feb. 1 1888), he was 58!!!! Hooray!!! I can now write for John's death certificate. I am keeping my fingers crossed that the information there will help lead me to the next step of finding Addison's Father!!! Is there anyone out there with connections that anyone has to John C.
