Hi Everyone, Mom and I want to thank you all for your continued prayers and good thoughts. I am going to give you another update because some folks missed the last one. Mom had open heart surgery to replace a 99% blocked aortic heart valve last Wednesday, July 8, 1998. She is now in the stepdown unit with most of her tubes, etc. gone and walking up and down the halls. She says the hospital food is AWFUL so I am taking in contraband. (That's hard on a no cholesterol, no salt, no stimulants, cardiac diet.) Tomorrow or the next day she will go to inpatient rehabilitation for probably a week. She says three days but I suspect they will keep her longer. Since she won't listen to me this is a good thing. While I am waiting for her to get home I am going to start updating the pages with the stuff that I have already saved. (This could take a long time as I have a lot.)
