    3. Hi Loralee, I haven't forgotten you. I'm pretty sure that Olive & Wm. B. Ames are in the 1860 Berlin, Erie Co., OH census, but I still haven't dug out the papers. I believe that Olive went to Michigan with her son Jonathan. An informant has written: --"Jonathan Cook, according to what my father told me, served at some time in or around the war of 1812, possibly with New Hampshire state troops, or it may have been with the Federal army. After the death of Jonathan Cook's wife, Rebecca...at Aurora, New York, on September 11, 1834, Jonathan Cook remarried and after we had moved to Eagle Lake (in 1876), this second wife whose given name I do not know, wrote to my father and asked for such information as he could give her as to military service of his father, Jonathan Cook, which I think was in the early 1880's, that she wrote to my father"--Carrie M Cook Sower March 8, 1941------ She is talking about Olive Steadwell Burdue Cook Ames, who may have been with her son Jonathan Cook in Williamston, Ingham Co., MI after 1880. You mentioned that you found them in the 1850 census. I was wondering if you had checked the 1860 census and if you knew the death date of Olive? Thanks.
