Liz, The pension records of John Mowry say that he only spent 3 month in Andersonville prision. He was moved to NE Ferry near Wilmington, North Carolina for the remainder of his imprisonment. It also states that while he was on the way from Camp Parole, Maryland to Camp Chase, Ohio, he was involved in a train wreck. He was seriously injured and spent a long time on crutches. This is new information I got.
