In Erie County Probate Court, 1847-853 Marriage License Applicatons, Vol 2, Page 440, #125, I located the marriage application for Stephen Pool and Cornelia Magill. The applicaton reads: Samuel Magill Jr, having made application for a Marriage License for Stephen Pool and Cornelia Magill of said County and being duly sworn on his oath says, that said Stephen Pool is over twenty-one years of age and that he has no wife living; also, that the said Cornelia Magill is not over eighteen years of age but that he is the father of said Cornelia and has given his consent to said marriage and that she has no husband living, and that the parties are not nearer of kinn than first cousins, as he verily believes; and that he knows of no legal objection to said contemplated marriage.
