Stowe, born 4 February 1874 in Milan. Father was (according to 1920 census) born in New York. Mother (according to same census) was born in Illinois. Frances's death certificate gives mother's given name as Sophie, surname unknown, but born in Germany. Father's given name is listed as unknown. Frances fetched up in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1909-10, where she became engaged to Knut Otto Ekman from Sweden. They married 19 Feb. 1910 in Los Angeles. Twin daughters, Marie and Augusta, were born to them in 1911 in Oregon, but family returned to live in Minneapolis, where Knut died in 1929 and Frances in 1941. Any look-up or other information would be very gratefully received.
