I am researching many Bartzen, Barzen and Butzen lines from Reil/Burg, very near your Bitburg Bartzens. I have many lines from the area, from @ 1640 to the present, some remaining in Reil, many more now in the US. Likewise, although I don't have any Elenz in my lines, I've seen the name before, and have several Lenz/Lentz references, which I'm wondering if they may be related too.
