Mary Saylor and Lewis Beatty were sister and brother. The Beatty family came to the US from South Russia in the late 1840s/early 1850 and the Saylors finally settled in Erie County in the 1870s. I know that John and Mary Saylor are buried in Scott Cemetery in Erie County. I am unaware of where the Beattys are buried. Perhaps Scott Cemetery as well? Michael Beatty, son of Lewis, died in the Civil War. I am interested in finding where he is buried. I am also curious as to the spouses of their daughters, Christina (b. Ohio c 1851) and Mary (b. Ohio c 1859). Any assistance is greatly appreciated! Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. My husband is a g.g.grandson of Johannes and Anna Beatte Sayler. I have a book that I helped work on that lists all the graves in Erie Co. up to 1909. When I get time, I will look for the Beatty/Bette/Beatte graves. Some of them should be on Kelly's Island where they had a home.
