Gloria, I don't see much come across this board about Groton Township, and that's where my ancestors lived in the mid-1800s. Do you have Caroline's maiden surname? He was born in Sussex, England in 1811, and died February 8, 1868. He and his wife, Caroline, and children were living in Townsend Township, Sandusky County in 1860, but Caroline and children were in Erie County, Groton Township in 1870. As Caroline had inherited a large property in Groton from her father who died in 1865, William may have died there. (He is buried in Huron County in his parent's lots.) Thanks for any help.
