They had 11 children: --Susan M. born 1829, Erie Co (?), OH. Married Josephus WOLF in 1852. --Eva Ann born 1831, Athens Co (?), OH. Married August JOHANN after 1860. --John born in 1865. Ohio. --Martin V. B. born in 1839, Erie Co, OH. Married Mary LANSING in ca 1862. --Charles E. born in 1842, Washington Co, OH. Married Laura SESLAR in 1872, Ohio. --Wealthy M. born in 1844, Sandusky, Erie Co, OH. Married Robert LANSING in 1868, Porter Co, IN. --Remaining 5 children born in Indiana. Ira's brother was George YOUNG (b: 1818, NY? OH?) who married Maria BALL (b: 1820, Freedom, NY) in 1840, Sandusky, Erie Co, OH. They had 9 children: --Celia S. born in 1841, Ohio. Married Clark WOOD in 1859 and Charles HALBROOK in 1896. --Gilbert W. born 1843, Sandusky, Erie Co, OH. He married Martha Brockway in 1868, Kane Co, IL. --Remaining 7 children either died in infancy or where born in Indiana or Illinois. Both brothers moved to Porter County, Indiana in 1848. Ira & Sophia YOUNG and family stayed in Porter Co, IN, for several more decades. George died in the Civil War, but he had moved to Kane Co, IL in the 1850's and his wife and children lived there for many more decades. I have more information about both families after they arrived in Indiana. I want to learn more about their lives in Erie County, Ohio. Who were their parents and where did their ancesters come from?
