The Schied family, who arrived in America in 1851, came from Bruchweiler-Bärenbach in Germany, and I've traced them back to the early 1500s, Do you know where the Stuckey family came from in Bavaria? I assume the name was spelled differently in Germany, perhaps Stucke or Stucki? I've just started researching the family, and the earliest record I found for the family in Sandusky was the 1850 Census: John and Magdalena and 7 children. Jacob and Magdalena's other daughter, Barbara, married Philip Rey, and they had 4 children. The 1880 census mentions a Joseph Stuckey, grandson, living with the family, but I don't yet know who his parents were. I just recently found the Linder name from the April 23, 1915 obituary of Catherine's mother, which mentions Joseph as a son, not a grandson. I have had no luck finding the Linder family on the 1900 or following censuses, unless I missed it. Also, thank you very much for the City Directory entries for the Linder family. I would very much appreciate any info you have on the Stuckey/Linder families that you would be willing to share. If you are interested in the Schied family, I'll be glad to send you whatever I have. According to my relationship calculator, Catherine Linder and I are first cousins, three times removed, which I guess is barely a relation! Thanks again for you help. Paul C. Miller
