I have a relative with the name of Mary Fennessey that was born 1850/1851 in Venice, Ohio. The parents, Thomas Fennessey and Anna Tuberty were Irish Catholic and were married about 1849/1850 presumably there also. Question #1 - Which church would they likely have been married/christened in? Question #2 - Why would this relative leave Ireland to go to Venice, Ohio? Was there a large Irish population there? Was there work there for the Irish at the time? Any answers would be greatly appreciated! Bill O'Loughlin
