Source : Sandusky, OH Register, December 1, 1897, p. 3, col. 3 Rachael Gary Haley died Thursday morning, Nov. 25 at 6:30 o'clock, at the home of her son, F.A. Haley, at the age of 81 years, 8 months and 3 days. Rachael Haley was born in Liberty, Fairfield county, O., March 22, 1816. She was united in marriage to George Haley, January 1, 1835, to whom were born ten children, five sons and five daughters, husband and one son having preceded her in death. She was converted in her early youth and lived a faithful and devoted Christian life. In 1864 she came to Huron, and has lived here ever since. For over 40 years she was quite deaf, yet sh! e has never complained of her misfortune. She leaves nine children, 50 grand children and 33 great grand children and many friends to mourn their loss, which is her gain. Her funeral took place Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the Evangelical church of which she was a member. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J.G. Ziegler of Sandusky, assisted by Rev. A.H. Wendt. Relatives from abroad in attendance were : W.W. Haley, Marion, O.; Mr. and Mrs. J.L. Smith, Lorain, O.; Mr. and Mrs. A. Gegenheimer, Mrs. C. Easterday, and Mrs. J.J.
