Source : Sandusky Ohio Register, 3/7/1888, pg. 4, col. 6 Huron, OH column. ...Mr. George Haley of whose severe illness, we made mention in our last letter, died last Monday forenoon. Mr. Haley was aged 73 years and two months, and had been a resident of this township for the past 23 years. He had been married over 53 years and leaves a widow, ten children, fifty grand children and seven great grandchildren, his death being the first in the family in fifty years. Mr. Haley was a regularly ordained member of the clergy of the Evangelical church having been in the ministry for over forty years. The funeral services were held from the Evangelical church in this village, the Rev. Mr. Lang officiating, last Wednesday afternoon; interment in Scott's cemetery.
