Paul: I checked the directories and this is what I found: 1884-85 George Linder, spoke polisher, res 729 Railroad 1886-89 George Linder, polisher, res 1822 Monroe St 1906-07 Kate Linder, widow of George, res 1822 Monroe St 1919-20 Catherine Linder, widow of George, res 1606 W Monroe 1935-36 Katherine Linder, widow of George, res 1606 W Monroe 1948 Katherine Linder, widow of George, res 1606 W Monroe 1822 and 1606 Monroe St may be the same house. I know the city changed the numbering of homes but I'm not sure when that happened. April 30, 1948 Mrs Catherine Stuckey Linder, 90, widow of George, residing with a daughter and son-in-law, Mr & Mrs Peter J Kotz, 1606 W Monroe St, died at Providence Hospital Monday night following a brief illness. A pioneer resident of the city, she would have been 91 next month. She was born June 16, 1860 and was a member of St Mary's Church. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs Louis Stephens of Toledo and Mrs Kotz; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Her husband died in 1889 and a daughter, Mrs Charles Hepner, Flint Michigan in 1943. Friends may call at the Charles J Andres Sons' Funeral Home after 7pm Wednesday, where services will be at 8:30am Friday and at 9:15 am at St Mary's Church, Msgr W C Zieroff, officiating.
