In reference to churches located in Sandusky, Erie Co. There were/are two that I know of, Sts Peter and Paul Parish, 510 Columbus St. Sandusky and Church of The Holy Angels Tiffin St. Sandusky, Ohio. My g. grandfather was Irish and settled in Margaretta Twshp along with his wife and her family who also were Irish. My G. G grandfather was a shoemaker and my g. grandfather a laborer. All born in Ireland. Services were begun in Jan 01,1840 at Church of The Holy Angels. In 1871 Holy Angels was closed and Sts Peter and Paul was opened. In 1875 Holy angels re-opened.
