    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. My family line comes from Valentine Ferdinand Seubert and Margaretha Urich/Uhrich/Ulrich. ?sp? We knew he was married before but not to who. Thanks for the information on Marianne Krug. Valentine had a son Louis when he married Margaretha, who was born in New York in 1848. Louis never married and died in Perkins, Ohio in 1883. His occupation was listed as a saddler. His death certificate lists the spelling of his last name as Seibert. I do not think Valentine and Marianne had any other children but there were a lot of years between Louis's birthdate and when Marianne died in 1855. Valentine and Margaretha had 4 children. Amelia A., b. 1859 - Ferdinand Valentine, b. 1861 - Elizabeth, b. 1865 & Theressa Margaret, b. 1866. The name of Seubert was changed to Seibert during this generation. All the girls married and Ferdinand V. used the spelling of Seibert. Valentine's civil war records listed his occupation as a butcher. Hope his helps. I am very interested in any additional info you may have on Valentine F. I thank you for the birth date and town in Germany. We always thought he came from Baden. My uncle, Glenn Seibert still lives near Elyria and between him and my father they were the ones who did all this research. He says he will try and find any info on Marianne Krug for you. I will pass it on. If you would like I can send you details of death, etc. on my line. Just let me know. Again, thanks! Joann Seibert Hoegler Parkman, Ohio
