I did locate the following information: Berlin Heights, Erie Co OH, West End Cemetery -Philip Morton, Co. C, 101st Ohio Inf, GAR -Mabel Morton, d. 5 Jan 1888, 30y 2m 4d, w/o C.A. Morton NOTE: Mabel may have been the wife of Charles, Charles being Sarah's son. Philip was Sarah's husband. You may want to obtain his military/pension records for more info on the family. Obituary in the Sandusky Daily Register, 28 Feb 1900, pg 3 col 5 The many friends of Mrs Sarah Morton were shocked to hear of her death which occurred at the home of Mr & Mrs C A Morton in Elyria on Sunday. The body was brought to Berlin Tuesday for funeral services being held in the Congregational Church. Obituary in the Sandusky Daily Register, 7 March 1900, pg 6 col 3 Mrs Sarah Morton, whose remains were brought to Berlin from Elyria last Tuesdaay, died at the residence of her son, C A Morton on the preceeding Sunday of pneumonia, having been ill for only one week but owing to her feeble condition, no hopes were entertained of her recover by the family or the physician in charge. Mrs Morton was 76y of age at the time of her death and when 6 years of age came to America with her parents and has been a resident of Berlin the greater portion of her life, having moved to Elyria only a few months previous to her last sickness. She was the widow of Philip who was one of Berlins well known citizens, and leaves one son Charles A to mourn his loss. She was a kind neighbor and friend, and her sudden death proved a surprise to her many friend. Hudson Tuttle conducted the funeral services at the Congregaional Church, assisted by Rev Fancher.
