People did not want to be known to associate with Germany in any way, therefore, they destroyed all the early German papers. In some of the early Sandusky newspapers, now on microfilm at the library, refer to and have reprints of some articles from the German papers. At the Sandusky Library, the following newspapers are on microfilm: 1822 - 1849 Sandusky Clarion 1849 - 1851 Daily Sanduskian 1851 - 1867 Sandusky Commercial Register 1867 - 1941 Sandusky Daily Register 1904 - 1941 Sandusky Star Journal 1941 - 1958 Register Star News 1958 - present Sandusky Register Hope this helps......     3. Hi, The Hayes Presidential Library in Fremont has some Sandusky German newspapers. Their obit file does cover some of them.
