From what I know, he was born about 1817 in Maine. He was a harness maker by trade. He was married twice. The first marriage was to a lady named Minerva. She died a few years before he moved to Erie County in Huron County on March 21, 1846. She died of Consumption and is buried in the St Paul Episcopal Church cemetery in Norwalk. Philip had two children with her named Edward b. abt 1840 Francis b. abt 1844 His second marriage occured sometime between 1844 and 1850 and was to a lady named Sarah who was born abt 1826 in England. He had one son that I know of by the name of Charles E Morton born abt 1857 in Ohio. I would love any information that may be floating around out there on this family whether it be births, marriages, deaths, cemetery info---ANYTHING!! No piece of info is insignificant. Thank you very much for reading my post. I appreciate all of your help!
