Andrew, Leonard Kromer doesn't sound familiar. I checked Family search and Heritage Quest and didn't see any connection. I couldn't find his parents. He is probably about the time of my grandparents - Charles Eck b. 1872 and Sarah Linz b. 1884. Sarah had two sisters, Mary Bookerman and Rose Platt and two brothers Albert and William Linz. Otto was probably a brother too but he died at 19. Linz was spelled Lins in Germany and Lenz and Lincy in early census. I guess Kromer could be spelled other ways too. Let me know if you see any other connection.
