SAYLOR, John, 9 Sep 1806 - 20 JUN 1888. There may be more SAYLORs buried there, but after 1908 - those records are easily obtained at the Health Dept, Bureau of Vital Statistics. Scott Cemetery is actually in Milan Twp, but it is the cemetery for the city of Huron.

I answered directly to this query and it seems others are interested in Bogart's Corners. Hope this helps. Erie County Ohio Cemetery Census Before 1909 ~ The cemeteries known as Bogart Cemetery, Old Stone House Place Graveyard, Old Perkins and Beatty Cemetery are now located in the present Perkins Cemetery. Old Perkins was moved to Bogart's Corners, and joined with Stone House Place Graveyard, during World War II by the government when it built Plum Brook Ordinance Works now known as NASA Plum Brook Facility. Early deaths are reported in the Firelands Pioneer 1865, page 21. The old Stone House Place Graveyard was located back of the Old Stone House that was the original home of John Beatty on Bogart Road, east of Rt 250. Perkins Cemetery is located off Rt 250 just north of Beatty Lane and Bogart Road

The census records consistently show her birth 1784-1785. I have "read" a lot of old headstones and the left side of 4's is often very faint. Perhaps that explains the obvious error. The census records are NOT consistent about her name 1850- listed as Lucy ... I double-checked to see if an S had been mistaken for an L. It was definitely an L 1860- listed as Susan 1870 & 1880, and History of Berlin Township by Hudson Tuttle - listed as Sukey

    3. Johannes and Anna Maria Beatty Sayler are all buried in Scott Cemetery. There are none of that family buried in Milan and the place where they lived was in Huron,Ohio on Rt. 6. The house is no longer there (it was just west of the Kentucky Fried Chicken. The school house is where the grandchildren of Johannes went to school. Johannes and Anna's 5 older children homesteaded in South and North Dakota, while the 3 youngest children stayed in Huron with their parents. 2 of these children went to Michigan after thay married and each had 9 living children. The youngest son, my husband's g.grandfather, bought the farm on Rt.6 after his father died and lived there with his 3 children. Some of his children and grandchildren are also buried in Scott Cemetery. I have never heard anyone in the family ever talk about a house in Milan and as far as I know, none ever owned one of the houses that are a part of the museum complex. ----- Original Message ----- From: <JPCALD51Sayler @aol.com> To: <OHERIE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, April 06, 2006 4:53 AM Subject: Re: [OHErie] Johannes and Anna Maria Sayler - Scott Cemetery? > AS I SAID I AM SURE SCOTT CEM. Some of the census records list them as Furman also. Margarets Death certificate list it as Firman. I have run across the same spellings for Harriet Gaul in Family Search and U.S.census records. Harriets death certificate from Spring Grove has it as Gall. I feel like the correct spelling is Firmam and Gaul. I know this is not much help ,but both spellings show up at different places. Maybe its like the Teetor/Teeter/Teter/ Teator/ Dieter , spellings. sorry no hel! p this time. Gordon
