    3. Hi Everyone, I just wanted to drop you a note and let you know that I posted the new queries and that I put up a page on the Milan Cemetery Listings (Hoover Section) for you to check out. Also remember that there are researchers in the county that are willing to help you out. Reply: Natasha From "Sandusky Then and Now" p. 117-8 "Daniel REINHEIMER, a son of Peter REINHEIMER and his wife Elisabeth, was born in 1815 in Horschbach, Rhenish Palatinate, and came to Sandusky in 1840. He was a carpenter by trade. In 1844 he was married to Regina EMMELE and to them were given eleven children. Then years later the family moved to Sheboygan, Wisconsin. "Wilhelm REINHEIMER, his brother, was born on December 3, 1822, and in 1845 made Sandusky his permanent home. He was married to Eva Catharina BENZ in 1847 and from this marriage nine children were born all of whom except one are living. "Jacob REINHEIMER, born October 1, 1820, was the last of the family to leave the old paternal home with his aged parents. From the old diary of Peter REINHEIMER, deceased, I take the following: 1848 May 18 Left Horschbach May 24 Arrived in Landau June 1 Beginning of the ocean voyage July 9 Arrival in New York July 21 Arrival in Sandusky September 1 Bought a building site for the sum of $330 In the next month built a house which cost $486.40. "Peter REINHEIMER and his wife died many years ago." p. 145-6 Jac. REINHEIMER and Wm. REINHEIMER are listed as members of the Sandusky Schutzenverein (translation: The Sandusky Rifle Club), founded in 1861. p. 271 Elisab. REINHEIMER, d. 16 OCT 1854, was married in 1847 to Peter REISS, b. 15 AUG 1823, in Rhenish Bravaria. He was married 2nd to Martha Elisab. BRAZEL on 7 DEC 1854. He was wounded at Gettysburg on 2 JUL 1863 and died in a hospital on 9 JUL 1863. p. 321 Only lists Elis. REINHEIMER as the maiden name of Peter REISS's wife. Hope this helps! Carol

    3. My first post to OHERIE. I know nothing about Erie County except that in 1808, when it was Huron County, some men including a Nathaniel BURDUE came from PA in a crude boat full of Moonshine and farming gear and landed somewhere in or around what is now Milan Township. Nat settled shortly after in Berlin (Heights, now)at a place that was to be, in 1976, the home of a fellow named Gary Limbird on East Main Street. I suspect old Nat as being my 3G Grandfather, and of course need to know more of him including, of course, his wife's name and their offspring. He was about 89 when de died in 1837, so if he had any children with him in Berlin, they were probably born back in PA. I'm anxiously waiting to GET some posts from this group. Thanks, Dave Bardue

    3. Hi All! I just put the new stuff up and archived the older files. This is in a state of flux and I want to leave it up for a week or so and see how it works. The January 1998 query page is still where it was but the older stuff is in a directory called 1997 but there is a spot at the top of the page to click to go there. I have had several folks say they are getting page not there errors but I had no problem. Please remember to clear your cache's out or refresh on your browser as I moved the files around. 3. The Columbus (OH) Metropolitan Library has Sanborn maps viewable online on their Electronic Resources site. To access them, you must have or obtain a CML library card number, which is available to any Ohio resident, through the library website homepage (takes a week or so to go through.) The CML Electronic Resources site also includes Heritage Quest & many other reference materials of interest. If you aren't an Ohio resident, perhaps you can locate a library in your home state which offers similar online services. Good luck. Wayne, Seneca Co., OH
