    2. 76wc
    3. Lori and all, you can get an "uncertified"(not usable for legal purposes) Death Certificate much cheaper, not sure what the Counties or State Health Dept. charge for that (think that it used to be $2 or something), OR you can get one for $3 ($3.18 for Ohio residents!) through the Ohio Historical Society: http://www.ohiohistory.org/textonly/resource/archlib/refemail.html [scan past half way down the page, to "UNCERTIFIED Death Certificate copy"] And I thought I saw somewhere you could get an Uncertified copy for small change(like10c) but I can't remember where! Anyone else know????

I have been trying to get a birth certificate for my great-grandmother with no luck. If you have the time, would you mind looking up a birth announcement for me? I would really appreciate it. My g-grandmother's name was Almyra May Gensenleichter (sp?) I have 2 separate years for her birth that I've found. Birth would have been either December 11, 1890 or 1892. The roll numbers for the Sandusky Register are 11806 and 11808. Thanks either way. Gail !^NavFont02F02790007NGHHI7BA725

    3. Hello Nancy- Ohlemacher is name I am researching also. I was in Erie COunty in September and discovered a wonderful Ohlemacher book put together in 1979 by family members. I found two copies in the area. Milan Public library was one as well as Bellevue Public Library. It is not indexed. It traces from Daniel Ohlemacher & wife Dorathea Sauer of Burg Schwalbach, Germany and his children. Daniel was born on 3 Dec 1809 and died 15 April 1892 in Monroeville. Dorathea died 1853. He married a second time to Henrietta Metz. They settled in the Monroeville, Bellevue area in Erie County OH. Children from both marriages are outlined in the above mentioned book: Phillipena married William Miller Jr (my interest) Nettie married Philip Ditrich Frederick J married Willimina Loos Philip married first cousin Christina Hund Elizabeth married Peter Euler Chirstina married Adam Senft Christine married Christian Dueterfeld Wilhelmine married George Wagner Helena (lena) married Sylvanus Stevens Dorothea Ohlemacher was the sister of Daniel Ohlemacher. She was a nurse in Germany. Came to the US sometime in the 1860's and married Christian Hund. Several of these children came over about 1856 - Phillipena, Philip and Jennie/Chritaina. The rest of the family followed sometime in the 1860's. I have an Elizabeth Miller who is a sister of the William Miller who married Phillipena Ohlemacher - maybe she is the same one you are searching for..??.. I do not see your Wilmer listed, but what are the dates ? Maybe he is a brother of Daniel. I made copies of some of the pages in this book, so if you want a copy, please let me know. I hope this helpes. 3. ------------------------------------------------------------------ FORWARDED MESSAGE - Orig: 11-Oct-98 22:49 Subject: Hewitts & Palmers From: Richard E Hewitt INTERNET:rickh13@juno.com ------------------------------------------------------------------ Hi Dave; I am Rick Hewitt and am the person who posted the inquiry regarding "Holly Palmer" and was at (cantrim@rmi.net) Clyde's home at the time. My GGGrandfather, George Hewitt, was married first to Holly Palmer in 1839 in Erie County, Ohio. As I recall the info stated that she was born in Pennsylvania as was George. I believe these births should have been about 1810 to 1815. They subsequently had 3 children (2 Sons & a daughter). In 1849 he married a Sarah Brod and had one child (William - my GGrandfather) so, therefor I am assuming that Holly probably died about the time of the last child's birth (daughter Hannah). These people apparently all lived in Margarita Township. I also cannot seem to find any records of death on any of them, so far. Apparently this inquiry was made way back in Dec of '97, but I don't recall a response from anyone but you in which you stated this "Holly" rings a bell and you were going to check to ascertain whether or not you had a hit. You also stated that you have a Palmer link back to Conn in the 1650 era. Any information you can give will certainly be appreciated - Thank You. !^NavFont02F04800007NGHHK827504

My grandmother's brother lived and died in Sandusky OH --- I don't know exactly where, but I do know when. William Roy LUSHER b. 25 Nov 1886 Logansport, Cass Co., IN d. 14 Nov 1963 Sandusky, OH I believe [but not certain] his wife's name was Dora and they had one daughter. I was a child when I met them twice that I recall before age 7. I met their daughter when I was a teenager in the late 50s but don't know what her married name is/was. This is the only sibling out of 8 that I don't have the obit info or his wife's name. If you could check for her obituary also, I'd greatly appreciate it. I have to submit a report Friday AM on all my grandmother's siblings and their wives and children. Any help will be greatly appreciated. 3. ------------------------------------------------------------------ FORWARDED MESSAGE - Orig: 9-Oct-98 23:26 Subject: Oldfather geneology ------------------------------------------------------------------ Hello, I am a great-great granddaughter of Elizabeth Oldfather Siler, descended from her daughter Catherine who married William Lawson Short. Most of my Oldfather/Short family live in Illinois in the area where William Lawson Short settled and eventually was buried, however I live in Colorado. I would be happy to exchange information on our branch of the family if there is interest in it, although I do not have extensive information. My family has for many years attended a reunion of the various descendants of William Lawson Short. As a child, I met many of my father's 40+ cousins as these reunions. Most of this generation are now gone, including my father. A few of us, including me and one of my sisters in Illinois have copies of the 1911 geneology, family notes etc. Also when I was a child my family made a trip to your area of Ohio to search for family history and my father met some of his family there. As my father (Ernest Short) died unexpectedly when I was 15 and I was yet not much interested in family history, I don't have much information on his findings. I would be interested in corresponding and exchanging information and can also put you in touch with other Oldfather descendent in Illinois. Regards, Esther Short Walden !^NavFont02F04C70007NGHHKC9BD74
