Gail Saw your post about a birth record for Almyra May Gensenleichter. Have you checked the birth record in Probate Court? Of course these records don't always have every birth. Sometimes also, they are indexed incorrectly or not at all. If at all possible, if I were you, I would consider a careful scrutiny of the records for the periods you believe to be her birth date. I would also check the "L" and the "S" - it could have been recorded as Leichter or Senleichter, etc. Good Luck Carol

Rick Erie Co. was established in 1838. Since it sometimes took awhile for the various courts of record to be set up, you might want to check the parent county - Huron Co. - for the records you are seeking. There are no marriage, death, or birth records in Erie Co. until about 1854 or so. These are in Probate Court. Carol
