Hi, I am looking for the husband of Mrs. Sarah Tuttle who married Seth Brown in 1814 after meeting him in Monroe Mi. She was listed as being from Huron, OH...really wonder if this Hudson Tuttle could be a relative or her 1st husband. Ruth C. rcolburn@mail.cvn.net
These names are listed in the index of the book "Erie Co.,Ohio" by Hewson Peeke: Nathan Hawk, John Barr Butler, Ernest Milliman, Prescott Milliman, & Hudson Tuttle. Are any of these names the ones you are searching? Lisa
Hi, Just a thought...you may get more replies if you list some of the related families also. Sorry not to be any help... Ruth C.

Hello all, I was just rereading photocopies I had made from the Ohio Historical Society's microfilm of the Sandusky, Ohio, "Daily Commercial Register" from 1861. One byline about an anonymous soldier in Company G of the 24th Ohio Infantry Regiment mentioned that he was from "Cook's Corners" of Erie County. Where is the location (Township?) of this place? Thanks for your help. John Rutherford _________________________________________________________ DO YOU YAHOO!? Get your free @yahoo.com address at http://mail.yahoo.com
------------------------------------------------------------------ FORWARDED MESSAGE - Orig: 31-Dec-98 22:05 Subject: Re: Re: Fw: DEELEY in Erie County From: Lowrie lowrie@texinet.net ------------------------------------------------------------------ William Eugene Deeley was my great grandfather. He was born c. 1846. He married Eleanor Virginia Wilson who was from Neshoba County, Mississippi. The Texas census shows the family to be living in Washington County, Texas, in 1880. This census indicates that his father was born in Ohio. It also shows the oldest son, Samuel Eugene, b. 1871 in Austin County, Texas. We have not been able to trace William Eugene back any further than this date. This family later moved to Comanche County, Texas, where he died in November, 1889. I also located an orbituary about a John Edward Deeley - Comanche County, Texas- dated May 9, 1913. It states that he was reared in Canton, Ohio. I do not know if John Deeley and my William Deeley were related but thought there might be some connection. We are looking for any connections to our William Eugene Deeley which would give us further information about him. William is really a stubborn fellow as we have continued to hit brick walls in our search. Thanks for your reply. ------------------------------------------------------------------ FORWARDED MESSAGE - Orig: 31-Dec-98 8:27 Subject: Message from Internet From: Kris Jardine jardine@bwtelcom.net ------------------------------------------------------------------ Maggie, I have birth records from Scottland, showing the spelling Jardine. We also show that Graham had the family Bible in 1916 in Ross Co, Ohio. We have a document signed by Graham stating James birth in Scottlandas April 16, 1837. We are assuming this was so he could get his pention from the Civil War. We also have military records showing he recieved a medal of honor in the 24th Infantary from Ohio, in the Civil War. We also know that he died in the Veterans Home in Erie Co., in Ohio. The spelling is all the same. We have the documents to back this all up on James, so I know that the spelling has got to be Jardine. I know the names of his siblings and their birthdates, but going current is where we really have problems. It is as if they never existed. Whe have no wife, but no that James had to have a wife as he had at least one son. I am unfamiliar as to how to get ahold of census records. can you order them on micro fich or get a computer disc that has this. We have no access to this information out here as I have tried. If you could give me a place to start it sure would help. Thanks Kris Jardine jardine@bwtelcom.net !^NavFont02F047B0007NGHHK7D3863

No hurry, but I wondered if you could check something for me. One of my ancestors supposedly had a brother living in the Sandusky OH area immediately after the Civil War. His name was John CHRISTIAN. Could you possibly check the 1870 census for him? He would have been born in GA, probably sometime around 1820 (or a few years off, either way). Thanks. Hi All- I found out some exciting news and I thought I would share. For sometime now I have been at a brick wall on my Addison KINNEY. Unable to go any further on his line not knowing his father's name, the county he was born or when he died. Recently, I wrote to the "Ohio Historical Society" (1982 Velma Ave. Columbus Ohio 43211-2497) and for $5.00 they did a 20min. search on one name - Addison KINNEY. They came up with information from a book "History of Erie County Ohio - with illustrations and biographical sketches of some of its prominent men and pioneers." It states that my Addison KINNEY in 1866 conducted the printing office for the "Sandusky Journal". Which was nice to learn about...but the best information was that John C. Kinney -"his brother" worked there in August 1866!!! It also notes the date that John C. Kinney died (Feb. 1 1888), he was 58!!!! Hooray!!! I can now write for John's death certificate. I am keeping my fingers crossed that the information there will help lead me to the next step of finding Addison's Father!!! Is there anyone out there with connections that anyone has to John C. Kinney??? Carol, thanks for posting the address for vital stats for Sandusky! Kacey
