I had her name as Mary Williams and so never thought that William and Celia Sloan were what I was looking for. But, through several other sources I am now convinced that Celia and Mary are one in the same and that their son Edward is my William Edward. I have found my gr-gr-grandparents William Sloan and Celia Williams Sloan listed in the 1880 census ages 60 and 57 but have not located them after this. In case she shall die intestate said one half and the residue of my estate in any event shall be divided pro rata among my other legatees of personal property herein before named in proportion to the money Value of their several legacies. In so appraising my estate my debts shall be deducted before taking the half. Moreover from the half to be so willed by my wife shall be deducted one full half of all the Expenses of Administering my estate other than repairs or rebuilding. Tenth: The provision of this will on behalf of my wife are in lieu of her dower. Eleventh: I appoint my friends Alexander Grant and Moses M. Granger Executors of this will, and request that no bond be required from either, except his own separate individual bond. If either shall decline, resign, die or cease to be Executor the other shall have full power. This shows that Emma was his second wife. Children of George and Emma are: Hope O., b. Jan 1884; Lucius H, b. Mar 1886; Lynn A. (son) b. Jan 1888; G. Ruth b. Jan 1890, Lucy S. b. May 1893; Ralph Ned b. Oct 1896. There appears to be a connection to the ROSEKELLY and HATHAWAY families of Milan Twp, since there is an Uncle John Rosekelly living with George B. Harris in 1900 and I believe this is the George, younger son of George W. (tho no proof of that yet). I would very much like to contact descendents of George W. and Emma (Horner) Harris.
