I would really appreciate that, more than I can say. I am happy to pay for your time and, of course, any copies you can obtain. Thank you so much, Sharon
Sharon, I have a lot of lookups to do for a few people and will be going to the library next week if you'd like I'll check and see what I can find out for you. Laura Miller

Thanks for the suggestion. I did check that site and was unable to locate him there. I have the obit for James, but his father was not mentioned in it. A sister died in 1969 and he is not listed in her obit either. There is a gap of about 20 years when I guess Ohio deaths are not online and most of mine seem to fall in that narrow range. I'm not complaining, I think Ohio has the most wonderful online records of anywhere I've needed to research. Thanks though, Sharon in CA

There are several Esposito entries, including a Nicholas, but he appears to be too young to be your ggf. There is a James listed who died in Sandusky in 1984 at age 87. Perhaps you will be able to get some leads: Hayes Presidential Library-Obituaries You could also check with the Ohio Historical Society for a death certificate. Info is at the website below: Ohio Historical Society - Death Certificate Index Good luck with your search. Paul C. Miller
I am trying to locate death or obituary information for ggf Nicholas (Niccola) Esposito. He was born in Italy and is listed in the 1930 census living with one of his sons - James - in Sandusky, Erie Co. He is listed as age 63, but it is written over and could be 73. One of his granddaughters (she born in 1927) remembers that he would build wooden birdcages or birdhouses for the kids when they were small and so likely he lived until the late 1930s. I would appreciate any suggestions as to how I might be able to find a death date for him and hopefully be able to locate his grave. Thank you, Sharon in CA

I am looking for my mother's cousins, Minnie and Roger Wikel/Weichel (mom not sure of the spelling) Minnie was the divorced mother of Roger, lived in Erie Co. in the 1930's when my mother's family went to visit them. If anyone has heard of them, or can do a look-up of ANY kind, please help. No one is sure if Roger is even alive. Minnie was my grandmother's cousin, so she may have been born in the late 1890's, early 1900's. Sorry to lead anyone on a wild goose chase! Thank you, Shari

Alanson Powers, d Aug 16, 1855 at the age of 59 yrs 9 mon 16 days. He is buried in the Berlin Heights Baptist Cemetery in Berlin Township, Erie County, OH. I checked all the cemeteries in Berlin Township, including: Poyer, Berlin Hts Riverside, Berlin Hts West End, Berlinville, Oak Bluff and Peake and found not other Powers listed. I do not think that I could locate an obituary for Alanson in the Sandusky newpapers back in 1855 and if I did, they would probably just list his name and date of death. Hope this info helps you. If you need further research, please email me.
Is this Alanson G. Powers, originally from Clinton county, New York? Mother was named Thankful, and brothers and sisters: Eliza Powers Hill; Esther Philosa Powers Edwards; Thomas; Mary Powers Randle; and Sarah Jane Powers Booz. I am the great-great-great grandaughter of Sarah Jane Powers Booz and, as many in this family died early, this has been a big brick wall for me. BTW, Thomas was an iterant painter in the area and in Huron county. I also happen to have a copy of the transcribed bible records for you to view if this is also your family. Would it be possible for you look up this name for me? I am looking for any dates/info that may go with this name. I am guessing his death date in the years of about 1855-56, but of course this is an educated genealogical guess. I thank you for your time and help!
