This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/1VB.2ACE/11404 Message Board Post: Hello I am also looking for information on Frank Meyer the one I am looking for lived around Monroeville and was married to a Mary ? He died 4 Apr 1889, she died 8 July 1910. I also have two Koechley sisters Veronica and Katherina who married Sickingers that I have a little bit of info about.
Sharon, I do have obits for Miriam but it does not have much. Also her son Ivan is still alive but does not remember anything about what his mother's maiden name was or who her brother's and sister's were anything about her mother. Nothing. So that does not help much. researching anything for England from here is almost an impossibility unless you hold stock in some Swiss Bank somewhere. Very expensive to do research in England. So I thought that if I tried to go with Frank smith perhaps I could find some hidden info there that might help me. thanks for all your help Sharon, I appreciate it very much. Norma
Norma, Here is a little bit more. I would look for possible deaths of the children. Their death certs and obits might have the information you want. I would send for Miriam's death cert & obit, too. Ohio Deaths 1958 - 1969 SMITH, FRANK L Death Date: 27 June 1958 Age: 83 Place of Death: , Erie County Residence: , Erie County Gender: Male Race: White Marital Status: Married Certificate: 41090 Volume: 15438 Ivan, below, is possibly their son. I would get his death certificate, possibly the mother or a sibling gave the information on his death and it may have the mother's maiden name there. SMITH, IVAN V Death Date: 16 February 1958 Age: 65 Place of Death: Kenton, Hardin County Residence: Kenton, Hardin County Gender: Male Race: White Marital Status: Never Married Certificate: 12035 Volume: 15322 Sharon
Wow Sharon that is great. Yes, he was born in 1875 and died in 1858 and she was born in 1885 and died in 1966 she was born in Herfordshire England. She was a half sister to my grandmother. I have my grandmother's marriage record and lists her mother as Sarah Watkins but
I found them on the 1930 census -- which I printed in case you do not have a copy. If you would like to have it I will mail it tomorrow, just let me know where to send it. She immigrated in 1900 from England and was naturalized. She was born about 1885. I would try to locate her voter registration card, which will give you the naturalization date and certificate number and then you can order the naturalization papers and hope for the first papers to be there. Usually takes 10-14 days once you send the $10.00 in. Then you will have her birth information, parents names, her physical description and possibly a photo. There are several Miriam Smith's in the Ohio death index, but would need a little more info to nail the right one. Frank was a farmer and born about 1875 in Ohio. All children born in Ohio. Hi, Norma What years are you researching? Sharon in So. CA
I caught an earlier mention of a HARRIS family and thought I'd throw out my questions. I have Jennie L HORNER b. 1862, Milan, Erie Co, OH, dau. of Hazen HORNER, Jr. and Adaline TRUMBULL. Jennie m. Charles E. HARRIS b. Oct 1861, OH (1900 census). I also have Jennie's 1st cousin, Emma Jane HORNER who m/1 George W. Harris, son of an English born father. This George W. was b. ca 1836, Pittsburg, PA (death record) and m/1 Elizabeth Unknown. George and Elizabeth had ch. Charles b. c1862, Howard b. c1868, Jay b. c1870, Cora b. c1873 and George b.c1875. George and Emma had ch: Hope Olivia b. 1884, Lucius Horner Harris b. 1886, Lynn Asa b. 1887, Gordie Ruth b. 1890, Lucy Fano b. 1893 and Ralph Ted (Ned) b. 1896. George W. then died in Huron Twp, Erie Co, July 1902. My question: Is the Charles E. HARRIS who m. Jennie HORNER the stepson of Emma HORNER who m. George W. HARRIS? I'd love to connect with others researching these families in Erie, Huron, Lucas counties. Marilyn in MI

Sharon, From here on out I will be doing any postings privately as I wish you would consider doing. I am sorry that you feel that I am a liar, and that I never responded to any of your email's. I am right now at the point that I am no longer upset I am really angry. You can go on and believe anything that you want about me, as you have already made up your mind to do so. You should have gotten the other package by now or later this week. I will email you before I mail out your $50.00 check back to you. To the list; I am so sorry that this has gotten to this point, as I will no longer be doing research this will never happen again. I know that this is not what this list was designed for and I am sorry that I took advantage of the list just to make sure Sharon received my email's. As said above people who know my work know the kind of person I am the ones who felt the urged to write and let Sharon know what kind of person I am without knowing me. I just hope that you never have to go through what I have been put through. Those that wrote to me privately and let me know that I was appreciated thank you it meant a lot. Again, I am sorry and this will be my last posting to this list. Laura Miller

Dearest List, Enough is enough, please that goes for Sharon and my daughter. This garbage does not belong on the list take it up privately. Sharon you have a package coming in the mail with the rest of your information in it. I am asking you please do not contact my daughter again. And yes, Sharon when you put in your e-mail that you worked for the government and did you mention that and you were not threatening Laura, the answer is yes, Sharon that was taken as a threat otherwise people do not throw their clout around. We have done research for hundreds of people. I have done headstone photos for people before I had a digital and paid of the film and the developing and the postage. Just takes one bad bash Sharon. Good luck on your research but enough on this list. Please. this list was designed for other things and this is not it. I have instructed my daughter of the same. I know the wonderful people on this list will stop and I thank them for the wonderful words that were said openly and most important privately. Thank you for this list and for the list owner who works so hard on keeping this list what is it and what it is for. Norma Miller
