Hi, Does anyone out there know what Sue Heys' new email address is???? Trying to find her... Thanks.. Jane (Spurlock) Hoholski
Janett: I also have copies of the obituaries for Clara Lydia Bier and Martha Elizabeth Bier and birth records for 3 children of George and Minnie Bier. If you would like this information and copies, please advise me and I will mail them to you. I can across the marriage listing for George W Bier and Mina Elmaira Sedgwick in the Probate Court records but at that time I didn't know that George was John's son so I did not make a copy. If you would like a copy, I will get one. I hope this information is what you were looking for and will help you. If there is anything further you need me to research for you, let me know.jb Janis Burke Erie County Chapter, Ohio Genealogical Society ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, April 27, 2003 11:13 PM Subject: [OHErie] Bier, John/Sandusky, OH | This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. | | Classification: Query | | Message Board URL: | | http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/1VB.2ACE/11411 | | Message Board Post: | | Looking for archival info and/or descendants of former Third Ohio Volunteer Cavalry Private John Bier, Company I. Janett: Here is what I have located on John Bier: Source: History of Erie County Ohio, by Lewis Cass Aldrich D Mason & Co Publichers, Syracuse, NY 1889 Page 599 William Lucal was born in Ellershausen, Dreis, Frankenberg, Kuhressen, Germany, Nov 11, 1805. He emigrated to America and settled in Juniata County, Pa, in 1840. He was married in 1845 to Katherine Leis, who was born in Germany. He then settled in Perkins, Erie County, OH in 1846, where he purchased his present home, consisting of twenty-five acres of land, for which he paid $500. It being all forest and brush, he, by industry and close economy, had it soon cleared and ready for cultivation. In those days they had no horses or farming implements, but oxen instead, to do the work. Fortune favored him and he soon had a comfortable home. William and Katherine had a family of seven children. Mary, the oldest was married December 20 1866 to JOHN BIER, who is of German birth. He served in the Civil War, and at its close received an honorable discharge. After the close of the war he became engaged in business as a contractor and builder. They have a family of nine children: Lula, Katie, Dora, George, Clara, Edith, Lizzie, Edna and Irma. The rest of the article continues on with the six other children of William and Katherine Lucal. --- [This E-mail scanned for viruses by LRBCG.COM, Inc.]

On this screen, scroll down for more details which may include: spouse, DOD, location of death, other names and obituary listings 5. To search another name, click on 'search again' You will want to check all spellings for that surname. Please remember the only obituaries listed are what has been entered into the system.
