All I know is that there were a few houses there. I don't believe it was ever any more than that. According to the info in "Erie County, Ohio, Cemtery Census Before 1909" you can find what remains of the Graveyard in the Woods near Enterprise by traveling south from Sandusky on Rt 250. Turn west on Rt 113 . "just past the remains of state park, the road dips south and curves slightly to the left...overgrown path on the right to the 'remains' of the cemetery...fence still there as it the myrtle...address of the house on the property is 1915 US 113 W... then you see sign which designates Kelly Road and welcome to Oxford Township." This book was published in August 1889, but the info on the Graveyard in the Woods by Enterprise was researched in 1983 by Patty Pascoe.

    3. Thanks a bunch. I did find an Egbert Long at the correct age and occupation in the 1970 census from Hessen Kassel married to a Henrietta with a child named Eliza age eight. Curious, about Anna, the six year old in 1880, that she does not show up later. But I have a few leads about her that might help figure this out. I also have a death certificate for a Henrietta Long that would coincide with Anna's birth. Not sure if she is Eckhart's first wife, as some of the pieces do not fit. This was very helpful. It was the first I picked up on Catherine's younger sister Anna even though I had been to that census record numerous time. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/1VB.2ACE/11692.1 Message Board Post: A couple listings for Eckhard Lange can be found on LDS. http://www.familysearch.org The marriage to Anna E Gundlach is listed under Echhart Lange and the enumeration in the 1880 Census is under Ecord Long. Both Catherine and her younger sister Anna were born in Ohio before the 1876 marriage and would likely be Eckhart's daughters by his prior wife, who was from Hesse. Eckhart is listed as being from Hesse-Darmstadt. I tried finding him in the 1870 Census, but no luck. It may be possible that he immigrated after the census and he could have been married before he left. You might want to try immigration listings to see if he shows up. Catherine's mother may have died in Erie Co. and that may also be worth a try. Catherine's marriage is too recent to show up in LDS online info, so you may have to write to the Vital Records of the county or state to get a copy of that.
