Son of Ernest Born and Amelia Gerlach. His wives were; 1. Magdalena Shockey, born 1773 in PA., married by 1790, Franklin Co.,PA; divorced 1801-03. Died 1838, Beaver Township, Columbiana (now Mahoning) Co., OH. Daughter of Jacob Shockey 1750-1803 & Anna Freed. 2. Magdalen Miller, widow of John Miller. Married Dec. 31, 1815 in Montgomery Co., OH. She died 1841, Darke Co., OH. Children of Henry Burns Sr., & Magdalena Shockey are; + 1. Henry Burns Jr., born in 1780's in PA; died 1834 in Darke Co., OH; married in 1808 in PA to Elizabeth DeBra 1790-1859, daughter of Daniel & Elizabeth (Friend). + 2. Mary Burns, married George Sands. + 3. Magdalena Burns, married Mathias Smith. + 4. Daniel Burns, born Nov. 7, 1792 in Huntington Co., PA; died Aug 23, 1864 in Iowa; married Eve Anna Hittle, 1796-1880, daughter of John Nicholas & Eva Anna (Boyer). + 5. Elizabeth Burns, married Frederick Schonafield. + 6. Juliana Burns, born 1799; married Sep. 21, 1820, Miami Co., OH, to George Inman, born 1798 in South Carolina. + 7. Anna Amelia "Milly" Burns, born 1800; died Sep 14, 1822; married 1820 to Jacob Rench 1797-1874, son of Jacob & Susannah (Deeter). + 8. Christopher Burns. Children of Henry Burns Sr., & Magdalen Miller are; + 1. Catharine Burns, born circa 1816; married Mr. Waggerman + 2. Sophia Burns, married Mr. Hanes/Harris?? + 3. Barbara Burns. Magdalena Shockey possibly gave birth to two illegitimate daughters before marrying by 1803 to Baltzer Mowen 1759-1850, son of Daniel & Catherine. Magdelen Miller had children Gabriel & John Miller. Gabriel may be the same man who married the widow Elizabeth DeBra Burns in 1836. Data comes from lengthy estate papers of Henry Sr. & Jr.
