They would have resided in Union City, Ohio or directly across the river in Randolph County, Indiana. I have found them on the 1880 Census there. Elijah was born around 1818 in Delaware, and Mariah around 1830 in Virginia. He was a cooper by trade, and they lived in several counties in Ohio, and documents have been found in Randalph county with their childrens' names on them. They had three daughters, Harriet, Sydney and Laura and three sons, George, John and Alonzo. It is believed Elijah died around 1890. I have a lot of gaps I'm trying to fill in. Thank you.
