Do you think the Smiths in Darke County are related? Can you tie my James and Kisiah to these Smith's? Found a Land Record for the children and wife of a Revolutionary War Vet, James Smith. He was deceased but wife and children got 1666.67 acres on 2/10/1813. Wife Sarah has remarried by 1813. Children are Cynthia, George, John Wesley, Elizabeth, Judith, Magdalen, Martha and Thomas. Record number 2252 OH1940_.419. Not exactly sure which number is which. Land was between the Little Miami and Sciota Rivers. North East of the Ohio River. I do not know what county this is...I thought Ross at first but not sure now. Jan
