Good morning, The future for Ohio's public libraries (and your research facilities) continues to be in the hands of those in Columbus. The Ohio House of Rep. passed a budget which did NOT zero library funding...but it was not balanced. The Ohio Senate gets the budget at the end of April and is expected to pass "their version" (unknown) in May. We will be contacting Senators then. Because the House & Senate version will be different, it goes to a joint conference committee to hammer out a mutually agreed & balanced version. Then to the Gov. for signature by the end of June.
