The Greenville Democrat, Wednesday Morning, December 2, 1903, "Local Items." The dead body of Frank Hartzell, aged about 25, son of Albert Hartzell, was found Monday morning against the fence down the embankment along Pan Handle railway about 3 miles east of Greenville. He was deaf and supposed to have been walking on the track the night before and was struck by a train. His body was not mangled but many bones were broken. His remains were brought to Greenville in the afternoon in charge of the Sheriff.
