As my teenage granddaughter would say: AWESOME!!!! Yesterday was my first experience in Genealogy and ListFest. It was GREAT meeting sooooooo many people and SURELY I HAD Nothing to offer being a newbie at all of this BUT I was wrong! A copy of my cryptic family pedigree was made and hopefully Rebecca S. has some new leads on the Viets family. I was excited that I was able to contribute and even more excited as "MANY" suggestions were given to me to help me get started on the right foot!!!! You folks were WONDERFUL!!! Thank you ALL --- Wayne, Jane, Rebecca, Roger and especially SUSAN K. --- This newbee's head was a spinnin' by the time she left!!! Thank you Wayne and Jane and EVERY ONE who puts a great DEAL of work into the ListFest to make it happen. I would have liked to have met Wally and Karen. No one would have "starved" for sure --- what a SPREAD of food!!!! I did make it to "old" Brock cemetery and took pictures. It has not changed since I was a kid. Got home "safe" and I hope everyone else did too!! Had a blowout on our camper while on Route 30 heading east (home was only a half hour away)--- not exactly tickled pink with AAA right now nor their so-called "emergency road service" --- had to wait 1-1/2 hours for help. Finally on the second call to AAA I requested the Highway Patrol because it was getting dusk (I didn't care if it was the longest day of the year as the smart-alec AAA person told me) and we were on the other side of the crest of the hill...with cars and semi's flying by ---- (not fun). Finally we crept down off the crest of the hill (on the rim -- no tire left) and the Ohio Highway Patrol parked behind us with his flashing lights until the tow truck got there to help us. The tow truck guy was not a happy person --- did not want to go out on the call to us. Whew --- was I ever glad when we got home --- (and most thankful). Sure hope everyone else made it home okay!!! Again -- thanks to every one and I don't mean to leave "thank you's out" to others --- just may not know your name to thank you personally. You are a GREAT group of folks!!! June E.
