Apparently not many family history researchers are making any "noise" about the OHIO fee increase!!!!! I just telephoned the governor's office concerning the uncertified certificates legislation. The person taking calls claimed to be unaware of this increase in fees and promised to pass on my concerns agreeing with me that the increase seemed unreasonable for uncertified copies. Call or send those Emails now. Elaine another list There was a good article in this morning's Hamilton Journal News on the Vital Records issue. I can't find a link to it on the web yet. I believe I heard yesterday that Gov. Taft does have the power of the "line item veto". I plan on writing him today at Governor.Taft@das.state.oh.us and asking him to veto the portion of the bill that deals with uncertified copies of vital records. Pat Jones riverrat111@earthlink.net
