    3. BCC: Trick-list & OHDARKE-list FYI Union City Times-Gazette, Thursday, April 17, 1941 Charles Trick dies. Charles E. Trick, 78, a salesman for the Jefferis Auto company, Greenville, for many years, died at 9:30 a. m. Wednesday at the Wayne hospital after a lingering illness. Mr. Trick was a native of Preble county but had spent most of his life in Greenville. He was a member of the K. of P. lodge. Surviving are a wife, Forest; one son, Samuel F., of Greenville; a daughter, Mrs. James Johnson, of Gettysburg; and two brothers, Ben Trick, of Indianapolis, Ind., and Sam Trick, of Ann Arbor, Mich. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Saturday at the Greenville U. B. church with Rev. Joseph Henry officiating. Burial will be in the Gettysburg cemetery. Union City Times-Gazette, Friday, October 23, 1942 Elva Whitesel dies in Anderson; rites Saturday. Elva Rachel Whitesel, 77, died at 6:40 a. m. yesterday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Harley Trick, 1903 East Fifth street in Anderson, death following an illness of several years. She had been critically ill for the past few weeks. Mrs. Whitesel was born in Iowa March 4, 1865, daughter of Joseph and Jane (Fields) Marsh. She was married to Peter T. Whitesel, who died October 4, 1932. Surviving are eight children, Mrs. Trick, at whose home she died; Mrs. James Parks of Anderson, William Whitesel of near Pendleton, Fred Whitesel of Anderson, Mrs. Steven High of Chrystal, Mich., Virgil Whitesel of Anderson, Trecil Whitesel of Goodrich, N. D., and Bernice Whitesel of Anderson. Brother and sisters are: Mrs. George Whiteneck of Jay county, Webster Marsh of Union City, Wilmer and George Marsh of Randolph county and Orvin Marsh of Geneva. One son, one daughter, four brothers and one sister are deceased. There are 30 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p. m. at Praise Chapel on the Jay-Randolph county line in charge of Rev. Reardon, pastor of the Park Place Church of God. Burial will be in Praise Chapel cemetery. The body will be returned today from the Williamson funeral home in Portland to the Trick residence in Anderson. Union City Times-Gazette, Friday, August 29, 1941 Ansonian succumbs to heart attack; rites to be Sunday. Samuel H. Miller, 76, died at his home in Ansonia at 2 p. m. Thursday. He suffered a heart attack while sitting on his front porch and was found by neighbors. Spending most of his life as a farmer, he moved to Ansonia 22 years ago and ran a ditching machine a number of years. He is survived by three sons, Fred, of Greenville; Lowell, of Greenville rural route 2; and Harry, of Ansonia; three daughters, Mrs. Lawrence Lehman, of Versailles, rural route 3; Mrs. Homer Zechar, of Dayton, and Mrs. Lois Hessin, of Ansonia; 15 grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Sunday at the Church of God, Ansonia, with burial in Ansonia cemetery. Friends may call at the Lehman home from Friday afternoon until services. (Miller Funeral Home records state that Samuel Harvey Miller was born Aug. 23, 1865 in Van Buren Twp., Darke Co., OH, the son of Manuel Miller and Nancy Waggaman (both born in PA). His deceased spouse was named Laura Belle (Trick).) Union City Times-Gazette, Tuesday, March 12, 1940 Ansonia man dies from injuries; plan funeral Wednesday. Greenville, O., March 11. --- William Yockey, 85, retired Ansonia blacksmith, died at 2 p. m. Sunday at Wayne hospital, Greenville, from the effects of injuries sustained Friday night when he was run down by a motor car at Ansonia. Yockey's death was attributed to a skull fracture. Hospital attendants report that he never regained consciousness. The accident occurred at 8 p. m. Friday as Yockey was attempting to cross Main street in Ansonia. It is claimed that he walked directly into the path of a car driven by Purl Trick, of Coletown. Witnesses have exonerated the auto driver of all blame. The aged man, who had lived at Ansonia for more than 60 years, leaves a widow, Stella, and four daughters, Mrs. Ethel Riegle, Ansonia; Laura, at home, and Grace and Ruth, both of Detroit, Mich. Funeral services are to be held at the late residence on E. Calan street, Ansonia, at 2 p. m. (EST), Wednesday with Rev. Hugh A. Smith officiating. Burial will be in Greenville cemetery. Union City Times-Gazette, Monday, November 6, 1939 Blood clot blamed in woman's death. Mrs. Mabel Marie Hipple, 30, wife of Stanford H. Hipple, Greenville, died suddenly at 2:30 p. m. Friday at Wayne hospital in Greenville following childbirth. Death has been attributed to a blood clot. The Hipples had move to Greenville last December from a farm in the Ansonia vicinity. Besides the husband, the deceased leaves a three year old son, Shirley Lee; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Trick, of Greenville, rural route; one brother, Harvey(Harley) Trick, also of Greenville rural route, and five sisters, Mrs. Roll(Rolly) Hascher, Mrs. William Hipple, Mrs. Eugene Cook, and Mrs. Lawrence Roth, all of Greenville, and Mrs. Robert Unger, Greenville rural route. Funeral services will be held at the Ansonia Christian church at 2 p. m. today with Rev. R. O. Marsh officiating. Burial will be in Beamsville cemetery.
