Hello List, I am trying to find the marriage of : Samuel F. Hamilton,he was born 1845 in Ohio. He married Mary Elizabeth ??, she was born abt 1846, in Germany, her parents are from Germany as well. Samual and Elizabeth's first child was born about 1867. So, figure they would have married around 1866. His family resided in Butler twp., Darke county. I don't have any further info on her family. Any help or info for this couple is greatly appreciated. Thank you, Diane

According to the LDS website (did search on Samuel, U.S., Ohio, birth 1845, range 2 years, wife Mary) one hit noted Samuel F Hamilton was born in June 1846 in Ohio, died in 1927 in Darke Co, Ohio, is buried in Otterbein Cemetery in Darke Co, and was married Dec 22, 1865 in Darke Co. His wife is listed as Mary Elizabeth Reicker, born June 1846 in Ohio, which differs from your data of a German birth. It also lists her death as 1927 in Darke Co with same burial as her husband. No pedigree info or children as noted with the above The above of course needs to be validated with firm records. The Census info at the site has a Sam Hamilton, age 33 , with wife Elizabeth, age 34 and children Isaac 13, Louisa 1, Amanda 11, Here Elizabeth's parents were shown as born in Georgia so probably not the same Family. There were other Sam, Samuel Hamilton's for Darke Co but none seem to be a match. Also did a quick Ohio state check and came up with no apparent match. The 1870 does have a Samuel F age 24 with wife Mary E age 24 and children Isaac 3 and Amanda 1 living in York Township in Darke Co. All are listed as being born in Ohio. Foreign birth of parents is not checked. 1910 census has a Samuel F age 64.with wife Elizabeth age 64 and child Catherine age 25 and grandson Clifford age 19. Here Elizabeth's parents are shown as being born in Germany and Samuel's in Maryland.. Hope this helps.
