    3. Hi Teri and All, The Darke County ListFest is an annual event and will be held on June 19th, 2004. The main purpose of the ListFest is too allow us to actually meet those people we've gotten to know through the e-mail lists. We bring our laptops or notebooks and have a big day comparing notes, families, etc. Susan Kendall has in past years brought a Darke Co. collection of research volumes from her Preble County Library (and I'm sure hoping that she will again do so) and we have a photocopier available. We have local authors who come to join the fun and also bring their books to sell and the Darke County Genealogical Society usually has a table of publications. After we have eaten our noon meal and are full of GREAT FOOD (pot pie this year Michael?), we will be having a short program on cemetery restoration. Wayne has enlisted one of the local monument companies to come talk with us about cemetery restoration, stone repair and replacement, etc. Then, it's back to visiting and doing genealogy for the rest of the afternoon. We have continued this format as people seem to enjoy it immensely. This will be our 5th ListFest and we do have a good time! Of course, the other benefit is that you are in Greenville - the heart of Darke Co. Garst Museum is open during the weekend and is a wonderful place to do family research PLUS you have access to the extensive museum. The public library has a genealogy collection and newspapers on microfilm. We will soon be adding to the information on the web page so please, stay tuned! http://www.dcoweb.org/listfest/listfestintro.htm Hope to see many new faces this year! --Jane -----Original Message----- From: Teri Templeton [mailto:ttempl75@hotmail.com] Sent: Tuesday, March 23, 2004 3:58 PM To: OHDARKE-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [OHDARKE] ListFest 2005 Does anyone know when ListFest is this year? I think I heard it is in June sometime? What kinds of things can I expect to learn if I go? <I've never been.> Sounds like fun! Thanks, --Teri
