Hi, The archives has a set of cards (in poor condition) of homes. The card contains info about the house.property and a picture of the home take around 1950/1960. Over time pictures become lost so they might not have it. The archives have changed their policy recently about doing property research, you now have to have detailed information and to make an appointment. Also, what information might be available regarding what the house might have looked like? Does the County Archives hold any of these records? Thanks, Sandy ________________________________________________________________________ Looking for long lost family pictures and other artifacts? Building permits were issued by the City in which the structure was built. If you are specifically looking for a building permit in the City of Cleveland, the building permits go back to at least 1910. They are located in Cleveland City Hall, Room 517. The people in this area are very helpful. Just obtained a building permit for a structure built in 1910. The permit contained a drawing that outlined the structure and its placement on the property, what it was built of, the name of the architect, etc. Nancy ----- Original Message ----- From: "L.R." <villagerose88@yahoo.com> To: <OHCUYAHO-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, December 18, 2004 2:58 AM Subject: [OHCUYAHO] Re: bulding > Hi, > The archives has a set of cards (in poor condition) of homes. That is more than I hoped for...pictures would be great, if still available. > The archives have changed their policy recently about > doing property research, you now have to have detailed information and > to make an appointment.
