Looking for connections to: Joseph Peter EVANS b. Aug 1850 Scranton/Cleveland,Cuyahoga,OH d. Oct 1929 Allenwood, Union County, PA. He is buried in the Allenwood Cemetary, Union County, Pennsylvania. The family history reflects that he lost a leg while working on the Railroad. But now there is evidence from an article written by "The Grit" that he lost both legs and a hand while employed by the Railroad. He first married Jennie and had two or three children (2 boys and a girl)and later married: Luella "LuLu" MOORE b in probably Erie, Pennsylvania they had 12 children. ( 3 boys and 9 girls): The boys were placed in an orphanage. Family history is that Richard ran away and eventually married Mary L. PFLEEGOR when he was 22 years old. I have a copy of the marriage certificate,which lists his father, Joseph Peter EVANS is listed as living - but his mother, Lulu (Moore) EVANS is listed as deceased at the time. Richard Peter EVANS b.
