The Lorain Co. Chapter of Ohio Genealogical Society is pleased to welcome Philip C. Franklin, the Director of the Family History Center in Westlake, Ohio when it meets on Monday, September 13, 2004... The program topic is "An Introduction to Research at the Family History Center." Family History Centers are branch facilities of the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah, the world's largest collection of family history resources. Centers provide access to most of the microfilms and microfiche in the Family History Library to help patrons identify their ancestors. The Chapter meeting will be held at the Carlisle Visitor Center of the Lorain County Metro Parks, 12882 Diagonal Road, LaGrange, Ohio 44050. (*Note change in meeting location) Social time is 6:30 PM followed by a general meeting and the featured program at 7:00 PM. The public is welcome to attend.
