    1. Photo: Sarah (Ford) Riddles, Berea
    2. In an antique store in Waynesville, OH I found an old cabinet card photo by a Berea, OH photographer. Written over the photo it says: Grandma Riddles The photo was found with a group of other photos of the Dunham family of Cuyahoga Co OH and Steuben Co IN. There was also an empty photo album that the photos were taken from with "Mrs Lorenzo Dunham" written in it. Mrs Lorenzo Dunham was Sarah Riddles. I think this could be a photo of Sarah (Nichols) Ford wife of William Riddles. She was born in Broome Co NY around 1822. In 1848 she married William Riddles (b. 1804 Kent Co England). They had the following children: Charles, Mary, Anna (married Pharoah Honess) and Edward Riddles. Sarah (Ford) Riddles died in 1894 and is buried in Monroe Street Cemetery, Cleveland. Her husband William Riddles died in 1886 and is buried there too. Sarah Riddles, the original owner of the photos, was the daughter of William Riddles and his first wife Ann. She was born 17 Sep 1839 in England and married Lorenzo Dunham in Cuyahoga Co OH before moving to Steuben Co IN. The lady in the photo would have been her step mother. I believe other children of William and Ann Riddles were William Riddles and Thomas Riddles (who may have married Julia Burgess). Although I have no proof, I believe William and Sarah (Ford) Riddles son Edward is really the Edwin James Riddles who married Ada Parker and Lena Jackson. According to his death cert, Edwin's father was William Riddles of England and his mother was born in NY. Also, in a bio for Anna (Riddles) Honess from 1920, it says her brother was living in Lorain OH where Edwin was living at the time. Joecan
