Bette, I have a great aunt born in PA in the late 1910's and she applied for a "delayed" birth certificate in 1942. I don't know how they went about doing that. So, I have 2 different delayed birth certificates, last names spelled differently and it says that "proof" was a baptismal record. Did you go to the archives and do a search yourself? Karen
