Hi everyone- I've gotten far with my brickwall family recently, but I just got some marriage certificates from the Cuyahoga County Probate Court and my great-grandfather was apparently married before he married my g-grama. It said his first wife was deceased and I need help figuring out who she is. I've looked in the Probate Court historical marriage index to no avail. Only the marriage to my g-grama is listed. My immediate question, though, is how can I go about getting an Ohio birth certificate (from a birth in 1911)? I found on www.ohiohistory.com that it you can pay $11 for one, but thought someone had said it's possible to get one for less somehow. Any help is much appreciated!!     3. Melanie, You might try the necrology file and see if you can find your g-granpa as a survivor.
