Today I recieved a letter from NARA, as I mentioned before my first request to NARA to locate David's Lake Co. Pension stated I should write to Cuyahoga County Vet's Affairs. This produced no results with one phone call and three written requests to them being so far ignored. I once again ordered online his pension file and this is the response; There is a Pension File for Vorce, David designated XC 2719-583 The pension application files in our custody were considered 'closed' in about 1929. The way to access the file you need is via the Dept. of Vets Affairs. We recognize that we should have the file you need in the NARA and we are working the the Dept. of Vets Affairs to have them transferred to us. Then it explains how I can write a letter to them for the request This time unlike last my request is to go to Department of Veterans Affairs, Vermont Ave. Washington DC.
